For Your Polar Bear Loving Friends

First, parents this is not a book for little kids. Some of the jokes were intended for mature audiences. I would say that this book was directed towards teens and adults as things such as drugs and peep shows are mentioned. However, that aside, this makes a perfect gift book. I myself was given this book years ago and I always end up reading it once a year. The premise is Gus, the polar bear, explains to the reader how he ended up in the New York Zoo. The photo manips and picture book quality are quite clever. The authors poke fun at a lot of things from taxi drivers to wall street brokers, which is very appropriate and comical- even with our current economic crisis. I say if you are a lover of polar bears or enjoy humor books, this one will keep you smiling. I can't honestly think of a better book for the polar bear aficionado. Trust me they'll know all about the real life polar bear Gus, if they love polar bears as much as I do. And if they don't, it'll just add to their ever growing polar bear knowledge.
