Whatever happened to Baseball

This book is a must read for parents with kids in sports. It changed my whole opinion of what's important as a Baseball Dad and a Coach. It is my job as a coach to NOT win at all costs. Jeff Potter drives home the failures and successes that shape our children. That good and bad coaching have a lasting effect long after leaving the diamond. Even as a former lacrosse player I absolutely love this book on Baseball.

If you are involved with youth baseball this is a MUST read. Jeff goes into great detail about his experiences from Tee Ball through High School baseball as a player, a parent, and a coach. Jeff has been where we are going and he does a great job telling us about it. This book is about baseball and life lessons. I've recommended that the parents of my players buy the book...we are about to go on a great journey and I want them to see where we are going. Thanks Jeff for a great book!

Great book!

This book is a great read for so many people! It is about baseball, what it used to be like and how it has changed, but it is also about teaching children life lessons, and learning more lessons as adults. I recommend this to anyone who is involved in sports, is a parent or a child, or knows a parent or a child. Take this walk down memory lane, and in the process, rediscover the basic values that we all sometimes forget as we grow up.

This book is a MUST READ!!!

This book is one of the greatest books I have ever read. It was a life changing experience for me. I'm unaware of any other books out there that give the perspective on youth baseball that this book does. When you live it with your son and then read it on paper it brings many things into perspective. This book is for any parent that has had a kid go through any type of youth sports program. It is also good for any "old timers" that remember grabbing your glove, getting on your bike and playing ball 'til mom called you for dinner. This is a must buy for everyone!!!
