Creative Ideas to Prevent Cabin Fever

This book is filled with ideas for getting out of the house with kids of all ages (in Whatcom County, WA). It contains not only phone numbers and hours of operation, but suggestions for enjoying many of the places based on the author's own experiences with kids. I've lived in Whatcom County all my life, but found many, many places I never would have thought to take my kids, many of which cost nothing or very little. As a stay-at-home mommy, it's easy to get into a limited routine of excursions. This book helps get me out of that rut. The only reason I give it only four stars is that it was published in 1999, so some information may no longer be accurate, but you can easily call ahead to verify details before you go out. The author mentions this in the beginning of the book and alludes to a next edition. I'll be looking for it.
