What You Won't Do for Love

A failed engagement and a new job have led 36-year-old Chaney Braxton from New York to Washington. Orphaned as a child and now betrayed by her fiance, Chaney has a new mew mantra: no plants, no pets, no men. Until she meets charming half-Korean veterinarian Devin Rhym courtesy of a dog-sitting gig she didn't even want. Devin is 28, eight years her junior and definitely not what Chaney was looking for when she moved. But the attraction proves irresistible and as their relationship blossoms, the unlikely lovers are forced to find solutions - and themselves.

I loved this book

This was a great read, I was sorry it came to an end. I would to read a sequel, the characters seem so real it was spooky. I look forward to reading Back to Life and all future works of WCT.

Money well spent

This is another book I enjoyed and most definitely would read again, although it did take some time for them to come together. Devin was hot, and Chaney made me laugh out loud sometimes. They both had issues to deal with, both within their families and at work. By the end of the book, things were looking up for both of them.... Hated for this book to come to an end. Wendy needs to put out another book with the quickness!

wonderful love story...

This is a wonderful book. I loved all the characters in this story. I liked the fact that the characters were well developed and that you got chance to really get to know them. Chaney and Devin are hot. It is wonderful to see an older woman and a younger man. I thought that the author did a great job of detailing the sniper terrorist that occurred in DC.

Characters that grab you right from the beginning!

I loved this book. I have recommended it to all of my friends and family already. Ms. Coakley-Thompson has the ability to create believable characters that I actually *cared* about and couldn't wait until my "ME" time at the end of the day to return to the book. It is a fast paced book, and I found myself casting the characters, wishing this would be made into a movie. If you are familiar with the D.C. area at all, that's an added bonus... I could actually see the places the characters visited and talked about in my mind. Terry McMillan needs to watch her back - Ms. Coakley-Thompson can REALLY write...her plots are interesting, the dialogue flows... what more can I say? Walk, don't run to your nearest book store and buy this book. If you have a book club, add this book to the list. You will not regret it!

Awesome, Awesome--Did I say this book was awesome!?

Loved it. This book was so real, and I just fell in love with Devin! I didn't finish the author's first book but I'm picking it up off my bookshelf today! This is the kind of stuff I like to read--I stayed up way past my bed time to finish this one. Keep them coming, Wendy! I can't wait for the next one!!
