Children?s author and mom of four Kathleen Ruckman teams up with creative illustrator Doug Hardin, formerly of Big Idea, Inc., to tell a story that children will love and parents, grandparents, and... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This story is such a delight! Family love is shared when Annie and Adam visit their grandfather each week at his home on the farm. During walks and talks with grandpa, the children learn lots about this present life and what heaven may be like. When I read this book to my grandchildren they loved the story. The colorful illustrations stirred many positive comments and the story stimulated them to ask questions about heaven, just like Annie and Adam. My five-year old granddaughter asked one precious question, "Will there be clouds in Heaven?" It was a joy to answer and see the children's inquisitive minds thinking while they listened intently. The story and bright illustrations teach children about God's love, comfort and hope for the future. The book is truly charming and heavenly!

Kathleen Ruckman's book, What Will Heaven Be Like is absolutely charming, beautifully illustrated, and contains biblically accurate information. It's in language children will relate to with characters and animals that make it all an interesting world to visit. A great way to communicate God's truth to little ones.

A very difficult question to answer, yet made simple enough for children to grasp. Children are never too young to be introduced to the deeper things of God and this book does a great job of doing so. The illustrations are fun and the scriptures are made memorable and enjoyable to read. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to help their children along on their spiritual journey of getting to know God on a deeper level. Definitely a worthwhile, quality read!
Will be loved by kids of all ages!

This beautiful hardback book is a delight. Little ones will love the story and the bright, colorful artwork. Kathleen Ruckman does a superb job of describing Heaven at a level young children will understand and enjoy. Do yourself a favor and get this book; it's a very sweet, meaningful story; and you'll be glad you did! I was so pleased when I received this beautiful, colorful book, and I look forward to Kathleen's next book "Who is God", also illustrated by Greg Hardin, available June 2010.
Hope and Comfort for ALL!

I just finished reading What Will Heaven Be Like? What a beautiful, honest, loving answer to all of us who wonder about that eternal question. The author, Kathleen Ruckman, really tackles the questions children would ask, but her answers are satisfying to children and adults alike. The scriptural foundation is sound and the sacred poetry that inspires the text resounds throughout. The illustrations by Greg Hardin make the message come across as true for today -- not as an old fashioned, sentimental idea from the past. Here's a book for a tough spot when kids ask those hard questions, but here too is a book to enjoy for the promise of hope and comfort it offers us all.
