What Mr Darcy thinks... is a retelling of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice seen through Mr Darcy's eyes. Keeping closely to Austen's original it shows the scenes in Darcy's life that are not witnessed by Elizabeth Bennet: - his childhood, his adolescence, and the periods during which he is absent from Jane's novel. In representing his life, I've had to adjust the timing, setting his life in historical context, before, during and after the French Revolution. It is a Romantic Comedy, a fun read that captures something of the irony and teasing wit of the original.
