A hard look at reality.

I chose this book with the slight hope that I would gain a greater insight to men. Even though I have had only 3 relationships in my 46 years of age, times have changed. My last relationship of two years ended but in reality it never was sound. I felt this book made all the excuses I had been given, become so much clearer now. When I wanted to believe the lies and give him the benefit of the doubt, I should have listened to my instincts.This book has given me a new insight to what men are really saying behind the words 'committment and I love you' when their actions are saying the opposite.I'm not synical of 'men' but next time I will remember what I have read and will move slower in a relationship to make sure the men I date are Keepers and not Losers.This is a book worth reading. Thanks guys, I appreciate your honesty.

Buying Copies for all my Single Friends

I see that the reviews are mixed on this book, but I for one am thankful for it. I appreciated getting three men's viewpoints about the dating process...and I believe that they are probably a pretty good sample for men out there. I applaud them for being honest, even if it didn't always make them look good. I have shared some of the book with my boyfriend and he has verified it's accuracy. I feel much less in the dark now...and I'm thankful I found this book when I did. I was just on the verge of blowing it with the man of my dreams...now we are back on track.If you want the truth and don't mind facing the fact that it isn't always pretty.....this is a great way to get inside the mind of motivated, career-driven American men.

Excellent book! Full of great advice!

As an attractive and caring woman who has been repeatedly used and abused by men, but never quite understood why, this book has finally given me the answers. From now on, I will recognize the signs when a man does not have good intentions toward me, and hopefully this insight will prevent me from being hurt so badly again.

A MUST READ for women who want the TRUTH

I've read a lot of "relationship" books, but this is the best so far. Some people may say "it's just common sense", but in matters of the heart and other body parts common sense often takes a back seat. After a series of encounters that fizzled I drove myself crazy wondering "why"? But this book made me stop beating myself up. Sometimes men just flirt and make promises, and many times we ignore early signs (not calling when promised, excuses, no weekend dates). If I had paid more attention to these red flags I would have moved on quicker. I have memorizied the following bits of author advice: "If a man considers a women girlfriend or wife potential there is no way he will let her walk out of his life" and "If a man is really seriously interested in a women, he will MAKE the time to call her and see her" - especially in the early stages of the relationship. It hurts to face the truth, but it's like a weight lifted from my shoulders. Life is too short to waste on game players - FORGET HIM! There ARE available, handsome, successful men out there.

I learned more about men in the 5 hours it took me to read this book than in my 15+ years of dating and relationships. I now understand men better and the book has helped me already with my current boyfriend. Ladies, do yourself a favor and check it out!
