What Makes You Feel Loved?

Love is a word we learn early and use often, yet it remains one of the most difficult things to explain. We speak it casually and carry it deeply, invoking it in moments of joy, longing, loss, and hope. Love exists in our everyday lives so constantly that we sometimes forget to examine it-to pause and ask what it truly feels like, how it shows itself, and why it stays with us long after moments have passed.
When we think of love, our minds often drift toward grand gestures. We imagine movie dates that stretch into midnight, dinners in carefully chosen restaurants, surprise trips meant to feel cinematic, unexpected gifts wrapped in meaning, or poetic confessions delivered under the safety of darkness. These moments are beautiful, and they matter. But they are only the surface. Because the love that stays-the love that shapes us-is often much quieter.
