What Makes My Heart Sing: An Artist's Journey

This story begins with my family background followed by my pondering thoughts of what exactly an artist might be and what they might feel. The reader will be taken along my journey as an artist, music & song lover, entrepreneur, writer and face painter as I share my adventures, travels, insights and reflections. As a young girl I was timid and shy and had always wanted to become an artist yet I would place artists high on a pedestal and felt that I could never become one which ultimately caused a feeling of self doubt. Over time, however, I gained confidence with my gift and was finally able to identify myself as an artist. The reader will learn how I started my face painting business in 2009, and will read about my exciting experiences. I introduce the reader to fellow artists I've met along the way as I share each of their incredible stories. The greatest thrill of my life has been meeting these gifted artists, master face painters and body painters while attending their seminars, workshops and conventions. It has been an honor and dream come true to be a part of their environment - which has partly contributed to my determination in writing this book. I also share my pitfalls, fear, self-doubt, disappointments, and failures but I know now they all are a part of life, and we all go through them. Failure is sometimes necessary in order for us to grow. My hope is that by sharing with the reader my dreams, goals, accomplishments and breakthroughs, they will become inspired to reach their own dreams. I could not have written this book myself without the constant presence of the Holy Spirit guiding me.
