Born in 1925, the first year of the so-called Silent Generation, Clara Wisdom was 16 and in her last year of High School when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. She was studying for a chemistry test with a friend when the news flashed on the radio. Readers of her stories tell Clara she's had an interesting life. Her purpose in creating this collection of autobiographical stories has been to share not only personal history and the history of the 20th century, but also to suggest how sociological, psychological, and health factors shape our destinies. With this in mind, her hope is the reader will find these stories enlightening as well as entertaining.
