Great Storyline, Too Rushed

I found myself in love with the storyline and lore of this fantasy world! However when it comes to the interaction between the female main character and her love interest... not so much. It felt so rushed and a little bit much at times, I found myself wanting to skip past any intimate moments to get back to the real story to figure out what happens. I probably will read the sequel solely because I loved the intricacies of the fantasy world and storyline! I just wish the chemistry between the characters was better written.
