This book is based on the struggles my son had with anxiety at a very young age. He was too young to understand and explain what he was going through. It was very difficult as a mom to see him go through what he did and not be able to help as much as I could've, had I understood it earlier. I hope this might help other families dealing with young ones who have anxiety disorders. This book has been a labor of love for over 15 years. It was written back then but I didn't have the illustrations I wanted to go with it. I put out a first edition a few years ago to get it out but I still wasn't happy with the illustrations. Now I feel this book is ready to be enjoyed by families, schools, counselors, anyone that works with helping children cope with their struggles. This book is a little longer but it can be enjoyed over a few days if a kiddo has issues with their attention span. Great for reading at bedtime or when it's naptime at school~snuggle up with Roxy and go along with her journey.
