My den's bottom shelf is filled with over 100 books for babies and toddlers. When my grandchildren arrive each afternoon after daycare, they fly to that shelf and find the What I Eat book by Wormell; it has remained their favorite during the first two to three years of life. The brightly colored lifelike pictures of animals with the food they eat on the opposite page illicit signings and sounds of the animals and great laughter. My kids love it and the illustrations satisfy the adult eye

My twins loved and love this book and its companion Where I live. The illustrations are beautiful and the text is simple - one word on each page, with the animal and the food on facing pages. A real beauty - and good for very young children.
