As the birds begin to sing at the crack of dawn, we rub our eyes turn over the sun rises and the morning begins. No matter how sleepy we are, we wake up to the same routine of bathing, dressing, preparing breakfast, and going to our various jobs or schools, often times forgetting or even refusing to give thanks for what we call the "simple things". Yes, we thank God for our jobs, cars, houses, land, savings, family, friends, and may even say a blessing over our food but some of us still take the glory from God and attribute the ability to complete our daily routines to luck, the fates, the alignment of the stars and horoscopes. We do not even thank Him for the breath of life that He gives us to wake us up every morning, which is better than any alarm clock.Christians and non-Christians alike take our "operative blessings" for granted. Our "operative blessings" are the uses of our five senses, our limbs and not to mention our minds in which without such we could not operate. We take for granted and believe sometimes that these things are automatic and will always operate as long as we are alive, because we take care of them. Still we forget to bless God for the use of our eyes to see the beauty of this world, our ears to hear His word, pleasant and disturbing things around us, our breath to speak and sing His praises, our hands to clap and bless a fellow man, and our feet to stand steadfast in His word and dance in His presence. Too many times a flicker of doubt comes to mind when something miraculous happens in the world and Satan is given credit for having the power to create chaos in our lives but God is not given credit for His Omnipotence to make everything right. To whom will you give glory honor and praise for what some of us consider minuscule accomplishments in your life?"Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me bless His holy name. Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all His benefits." Psalm 103:1-2WHAT HAS GOD DONE FOR YOU LATELY?!!!
