This is a great book, easy to understand and written with teenagers in mind. I have bought it for my own kids and other kids turning 18. I even enjoyed reading it myself and learned some laws I didn't know. It is becoming harder to find; hopefully the author will revise this book and keep it out there. A good book for parents and teenagers. Topics include a wide range of legal areas, including use of alchohol and drugs, driving, contracts. Authors provide definitions of what constitutes misdemeanors, felonies, etc., and possible sentences under various scenarious. Real-life situations -- both minor and drastic -- are presented, with possible consequences. A section on living in the real world, with landlords, roommates, and co-workers, is useful, as is a section on what rights 18-year-olds have.
