What Does The Bible Say About

My sister wanted a book to help her better understand the Bible. This was a gift both she and her husband have enjoyed.He wanted to "look at it" and now she has to ask for it back when she wants to use it. She reports using it often to answer questions she doesn't understand and as a reference book.

Easy-to-read, and understand

Reviewed by Carol Hoyer for Reader Views (5/08) Ron Rhodes has honestly answered many of the questions I have about scriptures in the Bible. His easy-to-read, and understand, answers are supported by related scriptures and research from his own experiences. The ease at which one is able to go right to an area to find specific answers regarding questions was very helpful. Not only did Mr. Rhodes support his answers but he also gives us the ability to explain his responses in our own words. I found that after reading his answers, I often had more questions. This is not a book that one can read through quickly--it should be read over and over as new questions or thoughts come up. I can see how useful this would be in a Bible-study group. I also believe it is a good resource or those who are just beginning to study the Bible or have come newly into their religion. In a day and time where many churches are spending more time on politics and raising money, I felt that Mr. Rhodes guides us all back to the real meaning of God and his word. Even if a person didn't go to church regularly, they could take this information in "What Does the Bible Say About...?," and get the spiritual guidance they need or want.

Essential resource for Christians

What Does the Bible Say About...? by Ron Rhodes is an invaluable resource for all Christians. Rhodes addresses questions about angels, demons, Biblical accuracy and cults all with straight forward, easy to understand answers. He backs up every point with Scripture, so even if you don't necessarily agree with him about something (pre-millenialism vs post-millenialism e.g.) you can do your own research. He also takes on fallacies put forth by Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons in their view of Scripture. This book answered so many of my questions, and even when the topic is difficult to explain such as the Trinity or nature of the Holy Spirit, Rhodes still manages to make his answer understandable and easy to remember. This is a book that will remain on my nightstand near my Bible for easy access. The night after I finished reading it, my husband had a question about Melchizidek. I grabbed the book, flipped to the right page and let him read Rhodes answer for himself. This is a terrific book no Bible reader should be without.

What does the Bible say about?

Superbly well done. I found this book very helpful in my personal Bible study, obtaining much more in depth information. Answers are easy to understand, examples from the Scriptures make things much more complete, provides knowledge so not to get confused with cultists teachings and a direction toward the truth. I would recommend this book for anyone that needs or wants to know answers to some difficult questions. This book, especially at this price may also be a great gift.
