What did you do in the war Granny? is a collection of short stories loosely based on the tales told by those who remained at home during World War II.
The stories show a different side of the war but are no less poignant than the memoirs of those who served in the armed forces. I hope they will also remind the reader that wars are often not as black and white as one imagines; the preconceived notions of good versus evil can sometimes become blurred.
The recent 80th anniversary of the end of the war has highlighted that once the baby boomer generation passes these stories will be lost.
