Dr. Joan McNeill takes us on a journey into the soul of the emotional and physically abused man or woman and the steps to move through to the other side for a peace filled life. The cycle of blame and... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I read both the "What Did I Do To Deserve This" book and workbook. They were great tools to help me leave a relationship with an alcoholic who was emotionally abusive. The book helped me to find a sense of self which I had lost during the course of my relationship. The book and workbook also helped me to get through the grief and pain. Leaving that relationship was one of the hardest, most painful experiences in my life. The books helped to comfort me and show me that staying in the realtionship was not serving me or my partner. The books definitely helped me to heal. It is sad how MANY women are in abusive relationships but are too embarrassed to talk about it or tell anyone (or even admit it to themselves). Dr. Joan McNeill knows about this from her firsthand experience and has reached out to others by sharing her story. I would definitely suggest this book to anyone who is TRULY READY TO MOVE FORWARD. I wish anyone who is in an abusive relationship the courage and strength to choose a different path.

Dr. McNeill takes us on a step-by-step journey on how to survive an abusive relationship. Inspiring for anyone who would like to free themselves from any bad situation. The lessons on how to become aware of the dynamics of a "relationship" and the power of "like attracts like" and power of prayer, are lessons to last you a lifetime. Truly a powerful book and incredibly inspirational!! Loved it!
