The deployment and implementation of WFP activities in the Lake Chad Basin in general, and in Mayo-Tsanaga in particular, is based on a normative legal framework validated by the United Nations. This justifies the deployment of the United Nations in the Lake Chad Basin in the context of food and nutritional security, through the WFP, whose benefits are perceptible in Mayo-Tsanaga. WFP's food security and nutrition activities are helping to alleviate the suffering of the people of MT.
