West Texas Heaven Revisited: Stories and Songs

In 1996 Kimmie Rhodes released West Texas Heaven, an album that marked a ground-breaking moment in her career as a singer-songwriter, to critical acclaim. It featured duets with fellow Texans Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Townes Van Zandt. Now she has released the album West Texas Heaven Revisited, which has been re-mixed and re-mastered along with some rare bonus "outtake" tracks from the original sessions and a duet with Emmylou Harris & Beth Nielsen Chapman.

This companion songbook, West Texas Heaven Revisited; Stories and Songs is comprised of her personal archival photos and images from the era and music scores of the songs with guitar charts and lyrics. A journal in words and music, it includes a memoir for each song that intimates how and why the songs were written and stories about the recordings and the extremely fortunate and unlikely circumstances under which these sessions with her
