West Texas Bride by Madeline Baker released on Oct 25, 2003 is available now for purchase. This description may be from another edition of this product.
As always M. Baker gives us an excellently written tale. Carly Kirkwood keeps going on about being a city gal, needing the bright lights and shopping malls and resturants to keep her happy. Zane Roan Eagle is a man who has plans for a home ranch and room for his daughter [which of course he does not tell Carly about]. His ex gives us a twitch as to what her plans are for Zane and Katy. Trouble??maybe? Brenda, being Carly's best friend, wants to see her happy and thinks Zane is the one for her buddy. Carly had finally broken down and taken a vacation in Texas with Brenda and her family. And then she "stumbled" onto Zane and began to take riding lessons. The magnatism that developed between the two told Zane that Carly was trouble. She could make him forget his resolve to not marry again. The developing romance was an easy read. Hey if we can't have a picture of the Lakota man, at least give us a good drawing. I missed out on not learning more about the Lakota customs. Where are these 6 foot something Native Americans? The closest I can imagin is Jay Silverheel of Tonto fame. Ah well, I can dream.

Carly went to go visit her best friend Brenda in Texas, Brenda, use to be a city girl like Carly until she met her husband Jerry they moved to Texas, Brenda has invited Calry to spend some time with her. Cary is not interested in meeting anyone new. That all changes when she meet Zane Roan Eagle. Breada is hoping that Carly will change her mind and live in Texas, but Carly keeps telling herself and Brenda, that she is a city girl, but what she doesn't tell Brenda is that her heart is telling her something else. I feel in love with Zane, I think you will to. Happy Reading Lisa
