BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!

I could not put my book down, oops sorry KINDLE down I just hope they make the next one soon!!!!!!

GREAT SUPERNATURAL BOOK

I loved the book! It was action packed, mysterious and entertaining. It was an easy read and the ending left me craving for more. In most of the books that I read, vampires hated werewolves and this was a fresh new approach to the battle between the two. Trey and Alexa get along well and there was a definite chemistry between them but it never blossomed. Maybe the relationship will grow in the next book in the series. I recommend this to all young adults and the young at heart who love supernatural novels.

WEREling

When I first read the premise for WEREling, I knew I would probably like it. What I wasn't expecting was how much I liked it. I loved it actually. Trey was a fabulous main character. His reactions were so spot on. From chapter one, I was invested in his story. But my favorite character by far was Lucien. He was completely mysterious and intriguing, yet humorous at the same time. I loved the way he spoke and his mannerisms. Alexa, Lucien's daughter, was also an enjoyable character. Trey and Alexa had great, natural chemistry. I usually prefer a little romance thrown into my stories. But when all the other elements are well crafted defined, romance isn't always needed. That is the case with WEREling. Of course, there leaves room for romance in future installments. :) Another wonderful quality about WEREling; it wasn't JUST a were book. It had other supernatural creatures I love thrown into the mix. But they were the "real" supernatural creatures. The scary kind that give you goosebumps. The kind I grew to love as a child. This was definitely one of those stories that took me to another place while reading. I didn't want to put it down, and was itching to pick it up when I had to. Feasey is a talented writer who knows how to draw in his audience, and keep them there. The ending had me craving more. I don't even want to wait for the sequel to come out in the US! If you loved the heroic protags in books like The Maze Runner or the Percy Jackson series, or if you just like creepy supernatural creatures, I think you will be a fan of this one too. Definitely a win for me!

Book Review: [...].

I'm always excited when a paranormal book comes out that I can get boys to read! Don't get me wrong, I always have a bunch boys ready and waiting for the next hot paranormal romance but the action-packed paranormal reads with a male lead are guaranteed to have a waiting list here in my library! I know that the "orphan who is destined to save the world" plot might seem played out but I didn't really get that vibe as I was reading the book. For the most part the plot comes across as original and kept me interested right until the very end. Trey is a very likable lead and all the key supporting roles are very interesting characters. There is more to Lucian than meets the eye and the rugged Irishman Tom (who Trey grows close to) has a lot of appeal. There is definite chemistry between Trey and Alexa and although there is a hint of attraction between them nothing really comes of it...at least for now. I totally recommend this book! Fast paced and full of action it kept me guessing until the very end. There seems to be a "double-agent" in their midst and each time I thought I knew who it was...well I was wrong. I guess I'll have to wait until book 2 in the series to find out :) Appropriate for ages 12 and up. There is also a Demoncyclopedia at the end of the book that tells readers all about demon hierarchy, the difference between demons and djinns as well as other various Netherworld creatures...pretty interesting.

Fast-Paced and Engaging

When 14 year-old Trey Laporte awakens one morning, he finds his room completely trashed and the window broken open from the inside. Then, a mysterious stranger claiming to be his uncle arrives and is whisked away to his incredibly lavish home. Lucien admits that he is not Trey's uncle, but promised his late parents that he would take care of Trey. Especially now that an evil vampire is after Trey, believing the boy to be his only potential adversary. Because Trey is the last of his kind - a natural (born) werewolf. Trey is an average teenage boy with an unnatural heritage and the ability to change to wolf form at will. With unbelievable information and finding himself in the most frightening of situations, Trey accepts everything reluctantly with bravery. And having a blooming crush on Lucien's daughter, Trey remains grounded. Feasey's Netherworld creatures extend from vampires and werewolves to demons, sorcerers, djinn, and beyond. Each main character is complex and well-developed, which is not always the case with other young adult fantasy novels. Wereling is a fast-paced, suspense-filled thrill ride, and a treat for urban fantasy fans of all ages. My only complaint is that it was over so quickly. This impressive debut left me craving more. I'm looking forward to the next installment, as the action-packed, climactic ending left off in a minor cliffhanger. And don't miss the handy Netherworld creature glossary in the back of the book for a deeper look into Steve Feasey's fantastic world of all things that go bump in the night.
