It's Halloween night, and as the moon rises, four children set off to find the witch's house. on their way they encounter a host of silly, spooky characters, from a skittle-skattling skeleton to a shirking, lurking Dracula. Can they make it all the way to the witch's house? or will their fears get the best of them? this humorous take on a favorite holiday begs to be read aloud again and again.
I bought this book for my three boys and it quickly became their favorite. We read this book year round. My boys love the descriptive words and get a kick out of all the characters. I don't think we have ever read it just once.

WOW! This is such a cute book; the first one from this author...I hope there are many more to come! My kids (ages 3 & 5)love saying "The Witch's house. Which house? The Witch's house!" They think that's so silly! I like the fun verbs he uses: slinking, skedaddling, etc. Every page is fun to read. The illustrations are wonderful too...very calm colors. And of course the characters are cute, all decked out in their Halloween costumes and having fun all the way to the Witch's house!

My son finds this book very amusing and has the it memorized. All the creatures the friends meet on their way to the witches house and the descriptive words as they encounter them really catches his attention.
