Set in present day, people age until the day they turn 18 years old. Their physical form stops aging, until they fall in love for the first time. Once a person falls in love they earn a heart halo-a small red heart that orbits around one's head for the rest of their life. Weird People is a fictional piece involving mostly POC characters ranging in the LGBT community, involving issues and topics such as coming out/acceptance, star-crossed lovers, racism, homophobia, biphobia/bi-erasure, transphobia, internalized homophobia, a family of friends, and friendship.Domingo Cobilla has never had the best of luck when it came to meeting the one. That is until he meets a weird group of people. He meets who he believes to be the love of his life from a young woman named Kiana. The two seem to hit it off...that is until Domingo's heart begins beating for someone else; his best friend Jojo. After his life spirals out of control, Domingo learns to come to terms with himself and his pride with the help of his friends.
