Science facts are always interesting to read and this book, written for the child age ten and up, will keep their interest. Some of the facts are about creatures, others about nature and yet others are about amazing humans and their bodies. There are facts such as the number of hairs on your head if you are a blonde, brunette or redhead. Rapid changes in the weather, the number of elements, volcanoes, when things were invented, how time is measured, the speed at which animals move, where the water in the world is located, the number of planets and stars, how animals live and behave; how building has changed over the years and the origins of flight are all covered in the book. This is one of those books written specifically for the curious teenager. I enjoyed it even though I passed my teen years long ago. It is a great resource for suppertime discussions between parents and their children.
