Tom Poteet has been writing poetry for nearly 30 years. His poetry comes from early morning prayer and requests for strength and patience from the Only Source Tom knows can give those precious things to him. In the mid-1990's, Tom decided to capture some of his poems to our Heavenly Father in a daily reader that he titled, "Sing a New Psalm." It was a big and bulky book of poems for every day of the year plus a poem introducing each month. Tom never published the book, but gave it as gifts to some of his closest friends. But Tom did promise, to our Heavenly Father, that he would devote his time, after retirement, to establishing a website of poetry to Him. In February 2011, Tom, though not quite retired, established a site, which is was at www.singanewpsalm.com. Tom's website progressed for almost seven-years. Beginning in 2014, Tom began posting to both his website and google+. He now posts a weekly message to go along with one of the new poems that he writes each week. His messages further illuminate his poetry as he attempts to explain his love for his Father in Heaven . . . and his brothers and sisters. Prose and Poetry from SINGANEWPSALM 2015 and 2016 is a collection of his weekly messages on his website. They are intended to give hope as the years progress. For hope, oftentimes, is all we have to get through each day; and hope, in a Loving Heavenly Father, is the key to the only hope that will last. This is the second volume of poems and messages. Tom's first volume includes the years 2012 through 2014.
