This book is dedicated to my Dad, my hero and mentor, who showed me two things in life that I will always treasure. One, he showed me what my heavenly Father looks like through his consistent character, loving discipline, unconditional love, and unwavering support throughout my life. Even during those periods when I did not seem to have any direction or ambition, my Dad was always there to either encourage me or admonish me, whichever was more appropriate at the time.Two, my Dad showed me the joy of yard work, and while I did not understand it at the time, I now see how invaluable the lessons were that resulted from those hot Texas weekends spent together edging, mowing, "policing the yard", pulling weeds, and cleaning up together. These are the lessons in this book, introduced to me by my Dad and reinforced by life, personal experience, and a loving heavenly Father who also encourages me or admonishes me as the need arises.
