Wednesday's Child is a perfect book for a long plane ride or a day at the beach - it is a fast-paced, suspenseful tale filled with interesting characters and plot.I found it to be great fun!

In the style of the best writers of medical fiction, "Wednesday's Child" not only intrigues the reader with strong characterizations, but with a mounting danger. The reader will appreciate the dramatic style of pacing with frequent scene changes that become more frantic as the story races to its climax. The authors, being physicians, come by their descriptions of medical situations from the best of sources: personal experience. A bonus is the tableau of small-town prejudices and interactions. The effect on the protagonist, who is from the big city, is to complicate what she must do in order to "fit in." What's more, her first patient fails to respond to her resuscitation efforts, thereby virtually condemning her in the eyes of the townspeople to failure from the first. How she deals with the the simultaneous disasters of profession, family, a psychopathic monster, and even, possible romance, is the strength of the narrative.

A very well written book, exciting to read

The characters were portrayed in such a way that they were life-like and sympathetic. As a physician it was easy to empathize with the protagonist (Leigh) in her problems trying to establish herself in a small town environement in which she was prejudged as being at fault for a child's unfortunate death. The ending was extremely exciting.

An excellent read

This book was absolutely spellbinding from the first page to the last. The twist at the end was a real surprise. I hope these authors will write more books like this.
