Weaving the Phrase

In 2018, I had a severe trauma-related breakdown that caused me to relive traumas and stole my writing skills. The odds were against me, both for regaining my mental health and my literary knowledge. I refused to let the odds win.

As part of that tumultuous healing process, I went through my surviving journals, college homework assignments, other surviving teaching tools, and I read multiple writer's guides. Revisiting old poetry and journals forced me to relive the traumas and decades worth of pent-up emotions that I hadn't been allowed to vocalize.

Anger and rage flowed through my pen, staining pages in literary blood, a cathartic experience that fueled my healing process.

I realized that these works can help fellow survivors feel heard and help others see into our minds to better understand us.

May you enjoy "Weaving the Phrase", a sampling of my works inspired by the healing process and the horrific memories of what I survived at the hands of the corrupt.

*Trigger warning: Contains strong language and a few horror poems.*

Award winning poet Stacie Ann Leininger is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community who has Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Complex PTSD. She is a neurodivergent who is donating a portion of all her book sales to non-profits in memory of her murdered boyfriend.

Non-profits that will receive donations include but are not limited to the Museum of the Cherokee People, non-profit organizations that work directly with the survivors whose loved ones are murdered or are missing, organizations that help low-income families like local food banks, and organizations that work help people with disabilities such as the WWAARC in Slingerlands, N.Y.

Her high fantasy, choose your own adventure, novel "Gleothane: A Call for Warriors," published under her pseudonym Cora B. Edwin, is the series that Andrew and Stacie started working on together at the end of November of 1995 (age 15). Since Andrew, who by his own admission was a horrible writer, was the one who came up with the idea and asked Stacie to write the story he wanted written. The story was supposed to be a singular stand-alone novel, but over the decades Stacie transformed their work into a series and created a pen name to keep this series separate.

ALL profits from the Gleothane series will be donated to non-profits that help out low-income families, provide assistance for persons with disabilities, and to other places that align with Andrew's dream of helping others.
