Nothing is left untold. He describes the horror of returning to the United States after another thirteen months to a bitter and unwelcome homecoming. Finally, after many years of scorn, the Vietnam veteran is accepted. But the author refuses to be labeled a hero, saving that title for those who earned it with their sacrifices.
