This book is a comprehensive list of documents from America's founding. It contains Samuel Adams' "Rights of the Colonists." Thomas Paine's "Common Sense." The Lee Resolution, the Declaration of Independence, extracts from the American Crisis by Thomas Paine, the Articles of Confederation, the Treaty of Paris, the Virginia Plan, the Northwest Ordinance, the Constitution, the Federalist Papers (which takes up the bulk of the book), President George Washington's Inaugural and Farewell Addresses, the Federal Judiciary Act, and the Bill of Rights. These documents are all worth having around for any American in one very fine hardcover book.
