What more could you want from a multi-generational seafaring saga? Windswept Nordic drama, swashbuckling tropical adventure, moving and real character portraits. I tell everyone I can about this book. This is easily the best fiction I’ve read in a decade. Brimming with scandi toughness and exciting peril, you gotta read this book.

This book is breathtaking. The author makes you nostalgic for a place and life that you have never been or experienced. I have never had a favorite book, but I do now.
