When she was a little girl, the author imagined this lovable character when her father asked her to tell him a story. He usually recited nursery rhymes during their storytelling time, but one day he said he would listen while she told the tale. That is when Mr. Beasterhop, who is a rabbit that rides on a bicycle, was created. Mr. Beasterhop seems to be around each time the little girl in the story needs to spend time with her dad. They discuss things like why dads work so hard, family life and growing pains. While the Beasterhop is not an Easter character, the middle section of the book is about the joys of Easter. It's a feel good story with colorful illustrations created with photographs of a very large collection of bunnies.
