We Remember: A Biographical Project of the Civil War Round Table of Kansas City

By Civil War Round Table of Kansas City

Members, past and present, of the Civil War Round Table of Kansas City have compiled a fascinating collection of information about their ancestors who served and lived during the American Civil War. Some of the ancestors were true heroes. Most were solid patriotic private soldiers. Some became prisoners of war. Many were wounded. A few were killed in action. Those who survived the war almost all became upstanding and valuable citizens of the reunited country. The Civil War Round Table of Kansas City (http://cwrtkc.org/) was founded in 1958 through the leadership of former President Harry S. Truman. The Round Table meets for dinner each month, featuring speakers who are well known authorities on Civil War topics. Today, the men and women of the Civil War Round Table of Kansas City continue their commitment to maintain our Civil War history.
