After getting tossed out of a window, a newspaper lands in a city park where it meets a high-society plastic bag and a hyper aluminum can. A dying tree accuses them of making it sick and polluting the park. The newspaper, the plastic bag and the aluminum can become outraged and depressed that they are now useless garbage and can't return home. A girl, visiting the park, finds a way to make things right using recycling.
