In August 2015, our world was turned upside down. My cousin's 9 year old granddaughter was diagnosed with kidney failure. Eventually in December 2017, her mom Sheila donated a kidney. They endured hundreds of tests, treatments, medications, hospital stays, missed school days, missed work days, and blood, sweat and tears, (literally). Before this bombshell, Teliyah was just a normal, smart, and happy little girl. Many times she was afraid, but she rose to the occasion, with her older brother Terence and younger sister Jaylah cheering her on and cheering her up.
