We Are In Ireland

When I was little, the only thing I wanted to do was have an adventure. I wanted to run through green fields, feeling the wind blow through my hair while I picked up wildflowers. I wanted to run free through thrashing seawater waves. I wanted something magical. Exploring a land where I believed these things dwelled was something I told myself I would one day do.As I grew older, my goals and dreams changed. But still, more than anything, I wanted to pack my bags and head toward the land that I felt was calling my name. I always felt I belonged somewhere else and that one day it would suddenly feel right and I would go. One day I would follow the wind. One day I would leave.And one day I did.On August 1st, 2006, I jumped aboard a one-way flight to Cork, Ireland. I spent nearly a year in Ireland immersing myself into the Irish culture. This is my story.
