"Way to Grow" challenges the oft heard phrase "we must treat all employees the same." Nonsense. We must treat employees fairly, but different management and supervisory styles and methods are needed to match up with what each employee needs. "Way To Grow"'s light hearted, easy to read style makes this book a helpful read for new supervisors and front line managers. It introduces "situational leadership" in a way that is easily understood and applied. The book is also helpful for seasoned leaders who are baffled by the continuing, circular issues they have with their staff. The case studies will have you nodding in recognition of each situation.

Great Wisdom in a Small Package

Contrary to most of the business self-help material out there, the principles Ms. Galindo espouses in this fairly short missive are actually applicable in the real everyday business world. Those wishing to memorize the 7 habits of highly successful pretenders should look elsewhere. Even though much of this hits you with a "Well, duh!" reaction when you first read it, just ask yourself why you're not really doing it if it's all that easy. Having worked at these principles for over three years in my own business, I can tell you it is about as far from "duh" as you're ever going to get. Read it three times. Then start living it.
