Watching by JA Pettitt is proof that worthy books written by relatively unknown authors will be published and read. This is certainly a very commendable book, fraught with excellent in depth character study and a fast flowing plot. One question, does the author know me? Many instances from the novel follow closely to my early childhood life living at home. At times I cringed in rememberance of events that appear in the book the were almost identical to mine. This book should be read and re-read! Kudos to the author and here's hoping you will continue in your writing.
Great Book - Compelling Story

In the very beginning I did not like the story but I plugged along. It was so bleak and painful. HOWEVER, it did not long before I found Jessy and her life compelling and couldn't put the book down. I ran through the entire gamut of emotions with Jessy. I would definitely recommend this book. I carefully reserve 5 stars, but I would have given this one 4.5 stars easily.

Never has a book grabbed my imagination as much. This gritty compelling story brought tears to my eyes, a smile to my cheek and dread in my stomach. A unique read - only hope the author is writing another book as we speak.
