Wow! COLTON LONETREE - WHEREFORE ART THOU?

You must know by now by reading the other reviews what the story is about. It was great the way Cole kind of converted Rini's sister Alex finally to appreciate him.Meeting Cole's adopted parents and finding out how loving and wonderful they were and to find that he has a half brother Billy increased his family ties along with his cousins on the Rez. I had full sympathies for Cole's birth mother. Loved meeting her and hearing her story.I was kind of chuckling when Jeff turned up and really appreciated the turn of events his inclusion brought about. Can't say much for Cole's ex-wife though. Selfish little witch, but human. But, Oh boy, if her next story isn't about Cole's best friend, Roman "Renegade" Santangelo I will certainly have a fit. [grin]This was one truly great story -- still can't get over the introduction -- Fantastic! Wow! my kind of Warrior!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED -- Please don't miss it.

Passionate and full of heart.

This book showed moving, vulnerable, loving passion just the way romantic readers love it. A great author!

A Night To Remember

I have not read Nina Bruhns before, but had heard good things about her writing. So I picked this up and learned that this book had previously won a Golden Heart Award. I felt it would be a good read, and I was not disappointed. It is about a woman recovering from a bad relationship who meets a man in full dress as a warrior at a Powwow. They have a one night stand, and a baby is concieved. He does not learn about the baby until several months later. He is afraid she will give the baby up for adoption, despite her assurances that she will not. He asks her to marry him, for the sake of the child and she reluctantly agrees. Some of the scenes between them are hot, so if you like your romance with a little spice, you will like this. The story was emotional, but not a tear jerker. The hero and heroine had to deal with their past before they could go on with the future. It was told over several months, allowing each character to grow gradually, not suddenly. It was a enjoyable story and I recommend it. I am now in search of Ms. Bruhns' previous book, Catch Me If You Can.

Great Story!

I really liked Nina Bruhns previous SIM (catch me if you can) and bought this one on the basis of that. It's a very different story but wonderful also. Rini Herelius is trying to recover from the break-up of a relationship that has left her feeling insecure and mistrustful of men. She deceides to go to a Powwow to get away. There she meets a handsome warrior and has a night of incredible (and steamy :) passion. The next day through her mis-understanding of what she sees, she takes off without even giving him her name. Colton Lonetree is a lawyer and Native American who was adopted and has a mistrust of women and being abandoned by them. He searches for Rini but they had never even exchanged names. Through an act of fate he meets up with her and finds she is pregnant with their child. The book is the story of them both learning to trust enough to love. A wonderful story of healing, forgiveness and passion.
