The Bible describes a redeemed people comprised of every race, tribe, and generation as the bride of Christ. The bride is described as the Lamb's wife (Revelation 21:9 and 10). The Bridegroom is Jesus Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Father (John 1:29). The bride is betrothed to and empowered by him to complete her mission while on earth. Power and authority are bestowed upon her from heaven, but she must first navigate through the wilderness and be tested. She must confront her number one critic: God's enemy, whose purpose is to throw her off her course in an effort to defeat her. The warrior-bride is not passive. She is unencumbered, undaunted, positive, and confident. She longs to be his trusted counterpart who will return as the Lion where they shall reign and rule the world together. Presently, she must be willing to endure and overcome this world and the principalities that are in conflict with God.
