A VERY GOOD READ

The writing is excellent - steamyness is in question - romantic and emotional. But boy, are these females always portrayed as dumb and emotional. We have, really, 4 main characters in the plot. Annie Wainwright - a ditzy blond - who has many emotional issues. John Lonebear - a sexy, very much decorated ex-Marine Native American who wants to better the conditions for the youngsters of the reservation. His sister, Ester, who does not want Annie to influence her daughter, Crimson Dawn. She frowns on inter-rational marriages. And Crimson Dawn who shows talent in art and Annie feels should be encouraged. But that might mean leaving the rez. John Lonebear feels that his heart was broken with a "Dear John" letter how many years ago? Now, no committment, no marriage, no family. Annie has lost two children and any chance to ever have another, no man, no marriage, no children. She has been hired to work the summer at the reservation school and could possibly work as a counselor. Well the hormones take over, they resist for a short time, then become lovers. Even though this is not their chosen style. Well you know what happens. Yup! two mixed up people - but hey, the story works. Recommended to read with plenty of PMS [pre-marital sex].

This is one of the most romantic books ever written, and, I might add, one of the steamiest! The author does a great job of making you feel like you are part of the action. When Johnny Lonebear sets his eyes on Annie Wainwright, I felt like *I* was the one who was about to fall under his spell! Oh, the delights! I would recommend this book to any lover of fine literature.
