A wonderful read

I read a lot of fiction and always appreciate a bit of humor and local color, no matter the subject. Warm Spit has it all. It's the story of a small Texas coastal town in which newspaperman Batton Shanks--when not busy driving his bosses at the paper crazy--takes on a mysterious assassin and, of course, falls in love along the way. Oh, and don't worry about the title; it's just the name of a bar-b-que joint.
