Dr. Stoddard's book is a vital tool for the understanding the events as they have been unfolding regarding the War on Terror. The book is a clear and conscise reflection of events and also contains detailed profiles of the numerous countires envolved. Students as well as academics will find the text both interesting and insightful. It is a page turner that packs an enormous amount of information into a small package. A must read--a must have!

superb job

I found the WAR book to be extremely useful. It is an insightful review of what has happened to America since Sept. 11, 2001 and even more intriguing in terms of what is likely to happen next. I also enjoyed reviewing Dr. Stoddard's classes and activities associated with Oxford University which I found on his web site...

The book

This book is great for anyone not quite familiar with the War on Terrorism. Sure most of us know what occured, but do we really know the roots and the historical context of the war? This book covers everything from Osama Bin Laden to George W. Bush to September 11th to the geo-politics of the middle east. It's a great way to familiarize yourself with whats going on. It also makes a great gift for all your friends and family.

A Classic

Dr. Stoddard's book is a brilliant synopsis of America's battle with terrorism. The book is an amazing look at the balance of power within the middle east. While Dr. Stoddard's WAR book is interesting and easy to read, it is very detailed and gives the reader an entirely new perspective on United States foreign policy. All in all, I never imagined learning so much in one weekend!
