This book is a continuation of my story about the war in Ukraine, which I began writing on February 24, 2022, the day of the big Russian invasion of Ukraine. The 2014 invasion, which ended with the occupation of almost two regions in the east and the entire Crimea in the south, was not yet called a big war and many were satisfied with the cessation of hostilities after the Minsk Agreements. But in 2022, the support of the US, EU and other democratic countries of the world gave hope for the liberation of previously occupied territories and victory over Russia, and I hoped to end the previous book with this. However, things soon went wrong. 2023 turned out to be a year of dramatic changes. From Ukraine's military successes and hope for victory to disappointment and despair. Ukrainians learned what a blackout is, economic and demographic catastrophe, and unprecedented restrictions on rights and freedoms. This book is another point of view on what is happening in the country during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the terrorist Russian state, because much of what happened inside Ukraine and the life of its civilian population remained a secret to an outside observer.
