The beginning....

I love season 1, it is from the start, just wonderful. I love the house & the scenery(probably Hollywood backlots & 40 acres!)But the story of a family including grandparents during the 1930s depression trying to hold the family together is so good! MissMichaelLearned is still young& beautiful even in ugly 1930s frumpy attire & no make up. She & RalphWaite portray a wonderful marriage & a loving disciplined life before their 7 children. "Grandpa" & "Grandma" are consistent portraits of a stern woman softened by a humorous soft hearted man making them like hand in glove! Its one of the best tv shows ever made.
