Stories and characters from “Song of the South”.

Walt Disney's Uncle Remus Stories From the Walt Disney Motion Picture "Song of the South" (a Little Golden Book). By Marion Joel Chandler, from the original Uncle Remus stories; retold by Palmer and from the original Uncle Remus stories; retold by Palmer Joel Chandler. ISBN: B0012GTZ02 Release Date: January 1947 This book is necessary if you have children. For some of us old fogies, it also brings back memories. This book is the giant-size hardcover from Golden Books. There are a lot of good illustrations by Mary Blair. This is not the original works of Joel Chandler Harris. It is, however, an adaptation of Disney’s motion picture “Song of the South” and other Disney adaptations of the original “Uncle Remus” stories.
