But their adventure doesn't end with their arrival at Salisbury Cathedral, as the father and son duo decide to keep walking - taking on the additional 17.5 miles of the Cranborne Droves Way from Salisbury to Win Green, near Shaftesbury.

The reader is taken on a lyrical meander through the natural wonders of southern England's chalk downland environment, its people, heritage and wildlife.
