Walking Southeast Alaska - A great book to familiarize yourself with towns along the Alaska Marine H
Published by Andromeda Romano-Lax , 15 days ago
I bought Walking Southeast Alaska in 1997, not long after I moved from the Kenai Peninsula to Oregon. I knew I'd return to Alaska one day, and I did by way of Alaska Marine Highway, Bellingham to Haines. That was 1989. My copy is quite dog-eared, but I will use it again in the spring of 2027, in Petersburg. The hand-drawn trail maps are wonderful. Photos are black and white, which I love. Storytelling about some of the areas are historical, and cultural. A useful book, and great read.
