### Chapter 1: The Summoning
Bhabotosh Chakraborty, a seasoned Tantrik of Bengal, sat cross-legged in his dimly lit chamber. The air was thick with the scent of incense, the ground beneath him inscribed with arcane symbols. Around him, the flicker of candles cast shadows that seemed to stretch and twist unnaturally. He had spent decades mastering his craft, learning mantras that could bend the will of the spirits themselves. Today, he would go beyond his usual summoning. Today, he would *walk* with spirits.

Before him lay an ancient scroll, its edges frayed with time. The mantras inscribed upon it were said to hold the power to bridge the gap between the living and the dead, allowing the practitioner not just to summon spirits, but to walk beside them, to converse and command them as one would a loyal servant.

The ritual began. Bhabotosh's deep voice filled the room as he chanted the invocation. His eyes glimmered with a strange light, and a cool breeze swept through the chamber, though no window was open. The air seemed to hum with energy. And then, they came.

Shadows materialized around him, taking shape. Spirits of all kinds-some with hollow eyes, others glowing faintly-began to appear, circling him in reverence. Bhabotosh knew them well; they were his tools, bound by the ancient pacts he had forged. Each one had a purpose, each one performed a task at his command, and in return, he extracted from them the sacred mantras that gave him power.

From the back of the room, a different figure emerged. Spirita, a spirit Bhabotosh had summoned long ago and who now remained as his guide, took her place by his side. She was not like the others. Spirita was a link to the deeper mysteries, to those arcane forces that even Bhabotosh had yet to master.

"The time has come," Spirita whispered, her voice like a soft wind. "To walk with us fully, you must know the ancient sadhanas. The mantras you have gathered will show you the way, but there is more to be done. There are forces you've yet to command."

Bhabotosh nodded. He had anticipated this moment for years. His entire life's work had led him here.

The spirits awaited his command, ready to serve.
